Gr. 11 Composition Project - Photo Gallery
Good photography is comprised of many elements, chief among them being "light". Given the right amount and type of light, and technically proficient camera use, one will end-up with a photograph that is an accurate representation of the original scene. However, compelling artistic photography is a lot more than merely light and technique. Conventions of style and composition, along with a measure of the photographer's personal style, can combine with the aforementioned light and technique to create stunning images that are worthy of exhibition.
This particular composition project introduces our Grade 11 students to composition concepts such as: COMPOSITION, SELECTIVE FOCUS, SIMPLICITY, CLUTTER, RHYTHM, DISTRACTING ELEMENTS, EMPHASIS, FOCAL POINT, BALANCE, TEXTURE, S-CURVES and ISOLATING THE SUBJECT. See what our "new crop" of photography students has created in a recent project, as shown below!
